It’s Friday…which doesn’t really mean anything during summer break. Who keeps track of what day it is?!?

I’ve been having sleep issues again. I am having trouble going to sleep, but even worse than that I wake up at stupid times in the morning and can’t get back to sleep.

Last Sunday I was awake at 3am, so stupid.

That night I told my kiddos I was going to bed…it was 7:30pm.

While Aunt Niece was here Roo had her check-up but couldn’t get her vaccinations.

The day after Aunt Niece left Roo got to make a special trip to the Doctor just for shots.

Speaking of doctors…

He hurt his wrist drumming, yep the same wrist that he had surgery on last year.

I called the surgeon to make an appointment and they couldn’t see him until August unless we went to the ER and then they could see us sooner. Thankfully we have good insurance…and can sit in the ER for 4 hours on a Friday. Gah…

It’s summertime in Arizona. We haven’t had any frogs yet this year, but we have some awesome lizards living on our front patio.

Judging by the size of these guys we must have some pretty tasty bugs that used to live there too.

For Father’s Day I went searching for a picture of my Dad and his 5 kiddos. The most recent I could find:

From my wedding. 17 years ago. and I am sticking my tongue out at someone. Because as the baby of the family I’m supposed to be the brat.

Two boys getting ready for scout camp takes time and lots of gear.

They were both gone the same week, but not at the same place.

The Man-Child was going to be roughing it where he was going and wanted his head shaved.

I usually cut their hair in my bathroom, but I didn’t want to deal with the clean up.

So we headed out to the back porch…in my bare feet.

While Einstein is a scout camp we have a tradition of gluten gluttony that always includes cinnamon rolls.

Somebody special had a birthday!

I sure love my sister.

I am amazed at how quiet my house is with only 3 kidlets.

And how much extra food I would have after dinner each night.

~~~~~

The Man-Child made a canoe they were going to use at scout camp. I love my son, but seriously?!? He is going out in a lake in a canoe he made himself?!?

I trusted him on a river in a canoe built by Coleman in 2007. Mainly because I know Uncle Kirk was there to save him if anything went wrong.

Thankfully he made it home safe and sound…

Now I just have to wait until tomorrow for Einstein to get home.

I love my Suburban. I think I have made it clear that it’s not natural how much I love her.

But I sure hate filling her tank…and this wasn’t even completely full.

Hmmm…So I missed another Friday last week.

Here’s a little bit of what has been going on the last 2 weeks.

Einstein has the best science teacher. She makes science fun for these kids and then emails the pictures to the parents so we can see the experiments they are doing in class.

The pool is closed up for the year. Sadness.

I voted.

I was hoping that once the election was over the name calling and fighting would stop. Boy was I wrong.

Things aren’t crazy enough at out house so we decided to add a couple new family members.

Needless to say Maggie isn’t real impressed with the love Minnie is trying to share.

He lasted 32 hours.

On Veteran’s day I had the joy of driving the Boyz around to pick up the scout flags.

It’s was a very entertaining 45 minutes.

I saw this little guy at Target.

I think I’m in love!

I had a little more OPI fun this week.

This is San Tan-tonio with a couple of coats of The Living Daylights.

Big Daddy showed up with these yesterday.

I’m not sure if I love him more, or if I’m angry at him.

~~~~~

The Man-Child tried to drown his sorrow over the loss of Grant by replacing him with Gollum and Smeagol.

Smeagol is the one with the gold dot on his head.

Gollum lasted 66 hours.

Smeagol lasted 102 hours and met an untimely end this evening when the Man-Child was cleaning his bowl…in the sink with the garbage disposal.

In case you are keeping score, we have killed 3 fish in one week.

I don’t think fish are a good match for our family.

Insta-Friday 11.2.2012

Sit back and get ready for lots of pictures since I’ve missed a week of Insta-Friday…and there has been a lot going on.

I like that my boys are involved in the Boy Scouts, but I’m not a fan of the campouts.

I am so happy when they get home, even if it’s only the next day.

~~~~~

Roo was the first kidlet that wore her costume this year. She was invited to a Halloween party with a bunch of kids from school. I am so glad that she had decided to be a Hippie again this year. It sure made it easy for me.

~~~~~

When Hammie told me he wasn’t feeling well and was going to go rest for a little while I was a little concerned. Then when I found him fast asleep I was worried that he was getting sick.

I am so glad he was completely fine the next day.

I came across this picture from 5 years ago. I can’t believe how quickly things change.

~~~~~

This restaurant opened recently in our little town. I am usually a big fan of supporting local businesses, but for some reason this one makes me a little nervous.

The Friday before Halloween we had our Ward Halloween Carnival and Roo was supposed to bring cupcakes.

We made chocolate cupcakes with a TON of sprinkles…because there wouldn’t be enough sugar for the kidlets in the next few days.

You know it must be costume time if the crimper and the 3-barrel are both being warmed up.

~~~~~

Next to the church where we had our carnival our high school football team was playing the last game of the season. They finished the season undefeated and they were ranked 2nd in our division for the state and they are going to the play-offs.

So marching band will go on…

Last Saturday we had the privilege of walking with my cousin and his family is the Walk-n-Roll for Spina Bifida.

Ham and B are the same age and Ham thought it was pretty cool to push B in his wheelchair on the walk.

One of our local news channel covered the walk and part of the Chaos showed up on the news.

We are already planning to walk again next year.

And hopefully next year I can smile when we have our picture taken…

That night the Man-Child had a Halloween Party to go to.

I think he makes a cute Fairy-Angel.

21 is a special number for me and Big Daddy. It made me smile when this showed up on the odometer.

I made this a few years ago and it’s still one of my favorite Halloween decorations.

I picked Ham up from school on Halloween and was greeted by this creepiness.

~~~~~

The kidlets were ready for a night of Trick or Treating.

Big Daddy took the three littles out and Einstein ran around the neighborhood with a bunch of friends, but they didn’t really go out for candy.

That left the Man-Child…

He became the Candy-Hander-Outer…and he took it upon himself to do Quality Control checks on the candy we were handing out.
