Insta-Friday 11.2.2012

Sit back and get ready for lots of pictures since I’ve missed a week of Insta-Friday…and there has been a lot going on.

I like that my boys are involved in the Boy Scouts, but I’m not a fan of the campouts.

I am so happy when they get home, even if it’s only the next day.

Roo was the first kidlet that wore her costume this year. She was invited to a Halloween party with a bunch of kids from school. I am so glad that she had decided to be a Hippie again this year. It sure made it easy for me.

When Hammie told me he wasn’t feeling well and was going to go rest for a little while I was a little concerned. Then when I found him fast asleep I was worried that he was getting sick.

I am so glad he was completely fine the next day.

I came across this picture from 5 years ago. I can’t believe how quickly things change.

This restaurant opened recently in our little town. I am usually a big fan of supporting local businesses, but for some reason this one makes me a little nervous.

The Friday before Halloween we had our Ward Halloween Carnival and Roo was supposed to bring cupcakes.

We made chocolate cupcakes with a TON of sprinkles…because there wouldn’t be enough sugar for the kidlets in the next few days.

You know it must be costume time if the crimper and the 3-barrel are both being warmed up.

Next to the church where we had our carnival our high school football team was playing the last game of the season. They finished the season undefeated and they were ranked 2nd in our division for the state and they are going to the play-offs.

So marching band will go on…

Last Saturday we had the privilege of walking with my cousin and his family is the Walk-n-Roll for Spina Bifida.

Ham and B are the same age and Ham thought it was pretty cool to push B in his wheelchair on the walk.

One of our local news channel covered the walk and part of the Chaos showed up on the news.

We are already planning to walk again next year.

And hopefully next year I can smile when we have our picture taken…

That night the Man-Child had a Halloween Party to go to.

I think he makes a cute Fairy-Angel.

As soon as we sat down at Church on Sunday Hammie was trying to go to sleep…he succeeded.

I have issues with Target. While doing laundry I realized I have the same shirt in 7 different colors. I may need an intervention.

21 is a special number for me and Big Daddy. It made me smile when this showed up on the odometer.

I made this a few years ago and it’s still one of my favorite Halloween decorations.

I picked Ham up from school on Halloween and was greeted by this creepiness.

~~~~~

The kidlets were ready for a night of Trick or Treating.

Big Daddy took the three littles out and Einstein ran around the neighborhood with a bunch of friends, but they didn’t really go out for candy.

That left the Man-Child…

He became the Candy-Hander-Outer…and he took it upon himself to do Quality Control checks on the candy we were handing out.

I may have helped.

Insta-Friday–9.14.12

It would really be nice if life would slow down a little…

It’s been 3 weeks since my last Insta-Friday post.

I had been foolishly trying to grow my hair out and finally came to my senses and chopped it off again.

I feel so much better with short hair.

~~~~~

The Man-Child is gone ALOT with marching band, but when he’s home there is usually music coming from his room.

~~~~~

I was able to go on a fieldtrip with Roo’s class. The gifted program at her school is pretty amazing and I had a fun time spending the day with her and some of the girls from her class.

We went to the Arizona Science Center and even there she was drawn to a drum. This particular drum played by the beat of her heart.

It’s well known that I have a little issue with OPI polish. Lately I have been wearing mostly glitter polish on my toes. The upside is that it’s sparkly. The downside is that it’s quite a process taking it off.

It involves a few cotton balls, acetone polish remover, tin foil and patience.

Ham feel asleep in Church again.

And I’m going to document it every week.

~~~~~

He must be taking lessons from these two.

~~~~~

My sister Niece made a last minute decision to take a road-trip to come see me…well there were other things too, but mostly to come see me.

We tried to take a picture of the 2 of us and got photo-bombed by her daughter Kira.

They brought Miss Hazel too.

I think she is going to be a blogger some day.

~~~~~

It was fun having a toddler around and I kind of enjoyed her little toddler tornado of toys around the house.

My house was very quiet yesterday without them here.

Today LaLa and Ham’s school had a celebration day for ranking as an Excelling School in an “A” ranked district.

All of the kids in the school got a new t-shirt. I’m not sure if Ham was more excited about the shirt, or getting to change his clothes at school.

It really is the little things in life that should make us happy.

My day ended on a less-than-stellar note. I got not one, but two phone calls from two nurses at two different schools.

The Man-Child did “Something” to his finger. He said it didn’t hurt and it was more important to play in the band tonight than to go get it checked out. The trainer taped him up and I see a visit to Urgent Care in my future.

Then Roo got hit in the mouth in a freak water-bottle accident leaving her with blood all over and a cut in her gum and a fat lip.

School is rough Y’all.

As I finished this post I realized I didn’t have any pictures of Einstein…and he was fine with that.

Hammie has started a new habit of falling asleep during Sacrament Meeting.

I am jealous.

But when he is awake…

Roo had her second cake decorating class.

I was so impressed by her new found skills…and they were yummy too.

~~~~~~

We have had a few impressive rain storms this week which have resulted in some pretty impressive clouds.

~~~~~

I have been having fun painting my nails lately. This week I branched out with a clearance item find.

They have lasted longer than I expected, but the pattern is kind of annoying. I’m not sure how long I will be able to keep them on.

I came home from a late night Mom-taxi run to find this little guy waiting by the door. So creepy.

Thankfully Big Daddy came out and squished him so I could come inside…since the Man-Child and Einstein were hiding behind me. We no likey spiders at Casa de Chaos.

This Girly can plow through books. She finds a series she likes and goes crazy. We kept count over the summer for different summer reading programs and she read over 2000 pages this summer alone. I’ve started requesting 4 and 5 books at a time for her from the library.

Yay! The cast is gone.

He wasn’t too happy about how much smaller and pale his wrist is now.

He still has a brace he has to wear for a while longer.
