I just want to give you a fair warning this might be the longest of the wrap-up posts.
After having dinner with my brother and his family we drove down to Springville to spend a few days with Big Daddy’s brother and his family.
When we woke up the next morning to this view.
This is their lovely house.
There was a lot more snow in Springville than in Idaho and it was a little warmer, so it was fun to go out and play.
Later that day we took the kiddos for a little fun. You take a car and a tube and some kids and you get this.
We found it was much more fun one kiddo at a time.
It was fun to watch,
But soon Big Daddy needed a chance to enjoy the real fun.
Big J and Einstein went to find their own fun with the sled.
Then at some point we had to end the fun due to a hole in the tube…I’m not saying it’s anybody’s fault, but notice who rode the tube last.
We went back to the house and Roo got back to her favorite part of the vacation…holding Baby Warner.
That night was New Year’s Eve and we didn’t even give the kiddos the choice to stay up. They were all pretty tired from all the playing outside. Except Ham, he almost made it until the New Year but gave out a little early.
The four adults did make it until midnight playing games.
And we toasted the New Year. I don’t know what we toasted with, I just know that it didn’t have alcohol and it wasn’t sparkling cider and it was very good.
The next day we headed out for more “sledding”.
Since the tube hadn’t been fixed and the sled was not as much fun for the kiddos I had my chance for a turn with LaLa.
We got dumped a few times.
And this is my butt after being dragged around for awhile…wet and cold.
Ham didn’t want to ride on the sled or in the car. He just wanted to run.
The next morning we woke up and played in the backyard.
And some of us got sent to time-out for whining.
She eventually cheered up and decided to have fun.
At some point Aunt Christina organized the workforce into a snowman building machine.
Ham supervised the building.
Big Daddy was working up a sweat and had to start removing layers.
At some point the Snowman had morphed into an Ice Princess. I can’t believe I didn’t get a picture of her.
We had a ton of fun with Steven and Christina and the Boyz. I think Ham shows it the best how tired we were.
And he still isn’t a fan of pants
That night we headed to bed early so we could be ready to spend the next day on the road.
Check out this post for a little giveaway.

ReplyDeleteDid you have to buy coats for this trip? Because I would have to. Coats, gloves, snow pants. None of which we own until we go to UT during the winter.
