Let The Learning Continue

Today was LaLa’s first day of school. She didn’t start yesterday because her class only meets on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Last year she was in a Monday, Wednesday and Friday morning class and I had requested that she stayed in that class. I was a little disappointed when I found out that they were going to be moving her to an afternoon class, but it was worth it to keep the same teacher. I don’t know what I was thinking…this afternoon gig is kinda nice.

All this morning she kept asking when did she get to go to school.

The morning must have lasted forever for her.

Then off we went.

LaLa had her backpack so Ham took his too.

Here is Miss Nancy with most of her class. At this point LaLa was still very concerned because her friends weren’t there.

And at this point Ham was extremely concerned because we were leaving LaLa there…without him.

He had a total meltdown when we left without her. It was so sad.

But then he fell asleep on the way home.

And I had a house full of silence.

For a few hours.

I think I might like this schedule.

  1. Hi Lene, I am a friend of Julie's and have checked your blog before. We met a LONG time ago when you were expecting Roo and WOW! She's so grown up and so beautiful. I don't think you remember me, and that's okay. I just wanted to say hello and that I enjoy reading your blog. You must enjoy it, cause you are good at it. Your 'back to school' posts made me cry; I have two kids going to school this year and it's so hard for me to see them grow up. But that's what they do, right? Grow up, even when Mom says no.

    Thanks for sharing!
