How much?!?

Today we did our Costco grocery shopping. We try to only go every 2 weeks...after payday. We make a list and really try to stick with it and Big Daddy being the numbers guy that he is always makes an estimate to what we might be paying. The estimate today was about $80.
Well we didn't stick to our list very well....but we didn't go crazy. Okay we went a little crazy. We haven't had salmon in a very long time and there is a special day coming up where we need a special little treat. And really you have to love the convenience of eggo's. But anywho.....
The grand total....$259.....Sweet Fancy Moses!

  1. That's why it's called the hundred dollar store. Every now and then I get out of there for less than $100. I always ask the clerk if I am going to trigger the 'surcharge' for spending less than the minimum $100 that seems to be required there. LOL!

I have also had to ban my hubs from Costco trips. The last time I took him we were up to $300! Yikes!

  4. Whenever William goes with me we go WAY over budget! I have to go alone.
He always tells me he'll "be good." No such luck.
I love their salmon. And eggos.

  5. Why must salmon and other foods that are good for you cost so much? I always end up spending extra there because they always have fun things at good prices which I hadn't planned on. So I try not to go too often.

Ok- That cracked me up, I just laughed because I got a joke that I didn't even mean to give. And I'm not deleting it, because I am so funny!

  7. It's called the $200 store for a reason.

  8. I go to Costco about once every 2 months. Then stock up, but I would love to get out of there under $100. And, yes, I always spend more when I have Mike or the kids. I let them pick out snacks and can't get out without at least 2 packs of oreos!

  10. I have to say the Big Daddy is the one that faithfully follows the list and I go around adding things here and there. We do better when he goes by himself...which he does.

The salmon is for Big Daddy's birthday. I am not sure I want to know what goes on at your house on Valentine's Day Bren, but we keep the fish out of the bed.
