Here and Now

adam home-001

I have always been a firm believer in enjoying the “Here and Now” of my kidlets.

I enjoyed the middle-of-the-night feedings and appreciated being one on one with a sweet baby and realizing that the sleepless nights would end too soon and I would miss snuggling a baby.

I tried to have patience with a curious toddler that needed to explore and ask questions all day, every day. I may have heard “Why?” eleventy-billion times as a Mom.

As much as I have grumbled about grade school home work and projects I really do enjoy the cut & paste fun of posters.

I am amazed at how fast they do grow up.

But I really can’t wait for the Man-Child to turn 16 (I still have 18 months) and get his drivers license.

‘Cause this Mom Taxi gig is getting a little tiresome.

  2. Best part, I was there for both of these pictures. I have loved watching your kidlets grow up. I was honored for the time they called me "NannaNiece".

  3. You liked the night time feedings??

Taylor's been 16 for a month now and I still haven't taken him to get his license. I kind of like having to take him places for the one-on-one time. Plus that way I know (mostly) where he is and I can get him home when I want. :) Of course that new tracking device I'm having installed in his brain will help.

  4. Funny, I was saying the same thing about my 14 year old today. Unfortunately, the rule at our house is you have to have your Eagle Scout before you can drive. He might get it before he turns 18....

  5. SUUUUUPER cute pics of the kids! Love, LOVE the one in front of the wood pile. Where did you get them done? It is pretty amazing how quickly they grow. I wish I could be "kinder" about the here and now of the never ending questions, want to do everything for themselves, but can't really do it phase.

    1. It's hard sometimes to appreciate the here and now, but I'm afraid they are going to be grown up and gone before I know it.

I took the picture in front of the wood pile. It's at my sister's house in Idaho. The light is AMAZING there.
