Happy Halloween

Last night we visited 2 Trunk or Treats. One was for our little town and I was feeling little silly for being one of the few adults that was dressed up. That was until I saw Buzz Lightyear and didn’t feel so silly.

We didn’t even stand in line for the Trunk or Treat. I heard some people were in line for over an hour. We were there long enough for Big J to perform with the trash can band.

Then we went to our Ward’s Trunk or Treat. We had a fun night and came home with way too much candy…even with Ham and Roo doing their best to eat as much as possible.

Roo was up most of the night with a tummy ache. I think she realized that eating chocolate isn’t worth the pain it causes her. Or maybe not. She was sick enough that she stayed home from church. Big Daddy and I flipped a coin to see who got had to stay home with her and I ended up going to church…but I did leave Ham home to save my sanity keep them company.

Here is a look at our costumes. I think this year we spent all of $11 on costumes. Thank goodness for our hand-me-down costume box and we borrowed Einstein’s wig. Oh and the $20 it cost me to get Big J to dress up.

Big J went as a Buccaneer…his school mascot.

Einstein was a Hippy…all the way down to Birken-crocs.

Roo was a Kitty…a costume that was re-cycled from when she was 17 months old and she asks every year if she can wear it again.

LaLa was a Cave Girly and couldn’t understand why people kept calling her Pebbles. How sad that my kids have no idea who the Flintstones are.

Ham was a ghost. He decided last year that he was going to wear the ghost costume and he never changed his mind. Of course he was not at all interested in having make-up put on.

Big Daddy and I joined the fun this year.

Big Daddy broke out the construction worker duds. As for me it wasn’t much of a stretch for me to get ready this year.

I think we are Halloweened out and will be staying home tonight watching movies…with our porch light off.
