It’s Not All Fun And Games

The vacation starts here.

One of the fun parts of our summer vacation is getting these city kids out in the country and giving them a chance to learn to do things that we don’t really do at home.

Like take care of a really beautiful and big garden.

This summer Aunt Niece asked Big J if he knew how to use a roto-tiller. He didn’t before, but he sure does now.

Actually all this kiddos got their hands dirty.

Einstein got right in there with his hoe and went to work.

They made a good team.

Roo took her turn with a shovel and went to work.

LaLa was safer just using her hands.

Kira took it upon herself to supervise Ham so there were still some onions left when he was done weeding.

When Uncle Kirk got home from work he came out to check out our progress.

The downside of having the kidlets helping?

Uncle Kirk kept finding little LaLa and Ham sized footprints in the garden where they shouldn’t be.

And I wasn’t just goofing off while the kiddos were working in the garden. I was involved in my favorite past time while I am in Idaho: mowing the lawn.

And I am totally serious about it being one of my favorite things to do while I am up there.
