The Best Two Years

Today my nephew Chad had his homecoming. He just got back from serving a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served his mission in the Pocatello Idaho Mission, that is the same mission my sister lives in even though for the most part of the two years he was gone he lived about 2 1/2 to 3 hours away from her. So she had plenty of chances to see him.

But now he is home.

So today we went to hear him speak at Church. Just listening to him speak you could tell how much he has grown since he has been gone.

Two years doesn't sound very long until you put it in perspective. Today was the first time he has met Ham and unfortunately Ham wasn't to excited to meet him!

The other kidlets were more excited. He and Big J and been writing e-mails back and forth for the last few months so he was very excited to see his cousin.

I know that that his Mom and Dad are happy to have him home again, but I know someone else that is glad to have him home.

His little brother McKay.

It was tough to get a picture of them standing together without them teasing each other.

They are a lot like a couple of other brothers I know.

Welcome Home Chad.

  5. Two years sounds like forever when I think of my boys leaving!! It's one of those you want them to, but you don't want them to, kind of things. Love the pics.
