Lelly's question this week is: If this is your first earth day spt, do you consider yourself a part of "the green generation?"
I would have to say that we are not a very "green" family.
I drive this:
We use these, ALOT of these:
We live in the desert, yet we still have this:
The grass that takes alot of water, not the dog. Other than I don't really consider Harley very "green" either!
And I still have this horrible habit:
But we are making changes.
The boys have decided to make a statement against waste:
We have converted some fixtures with these:
We do reuse these. I just need to find a better way to store them:
We don't have curbside recycling where we live, but there are recycling bins at the school. So I have started recycling these:
But my favorite "green" items in my house are these:
My HE washer and dryer. They almost make doing the laundry fun. Ok not really at all, but if you have to do laundry it is cool have a great washer and dryer to do it in.
OK - loving your boys' t-shirts! genius! You do more than you think...every little bit counts!
ReplyDeletegreat take on this challenge, lene!! love the *wash and fold* photo.
ReplyDeleteI love your boys t-shirts. I cracked up! I bet every boy in the world would like to wear one..
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you're doing just fine with your "green" efforts.
ReplyDeleteI got the new washer/dryer a couple of years ago...I'm not convinced that I like them any better than my old ones. Each wash is at least 50+ minutes per load!
Love your boys t-shirts...too cute!
We are in the same boat. I too drive an SUV, use lots of diapers, live in the desert and have real grass, and drink lots of water bottles. Those t-shirts are the best.
ReplyDeleteabout the only "green" I am is wishing I could see your boys in their awesome shirts.
ReplyDeleteYou look BEAUTIFUL!!!
Love you
Niece
