Shoshone Falls

We usually spend most of our time on the calm banks of the Snake River. This year we took a quick drive to where the water isn’t as calm.

061-1

Isn’t it pretty?

002-1003-1

Finally a picture of me and the kidlets.

011-1

There is a lot more to see than just the falls.

I felt bad that I forgot the leashes for the kidlets. Thank goodness we all made it out alive.

016-1

These stairs led to the rest of the fun.

056-1

The kidlets just scrambled right up them.

018-1

I was lucky I made it to the top.

020-1

Of course once we got to the top the Boyz felt the need to climb some more.

021-1032-1

We walked a little farther down the trails to another viewpoint.

033-1

Shoshone is know as the Niagra Falls of the West. It really is pretty.

035

Almost as pretty as Aunt Niece, Hazel and Kira

045-1

It makes me laugh that the kidlets have their phones out taking pictures. I wonder where they get that from?

034-1

As we walked around Kira was carrying Hazel. After a while she was getting heavy so she was handed off to Big J.

027-1

Hazel looks a little concerned about this turn of events.

055-1

It made us laugh when she kept making this face while he was holding her. I am pretty sure he had showered that day.

052-1

And much to Kira’s dismay the more Hazel made that face the more the kidlets laughed and the more the kidlets laughed the more she made the face. A cute vicious cycle…the lasted the rest of the time we were there.

While we were at Shoshone we spotted a little wildlife.

059-1

Okay so it is an elk farm, but still it was pretty cool to see.

After we left Shoshone Falls we went to the town of Twin Falls where this statue of the Twin Sisters is located.

062-1

After seeing the falls and a little shopping it was time to head back to Burley and the calm part of the Snake River.

011-1

But the weather had the river a little rough there too.
