We had a fun 4th of July. Originally we had decided to make no plans for the 4th, we just wanted to hang out and swim and just relax and enjoy the holiday. That quickly changed with a few phone calls and texts and soon a family BBQ was planned.
Here are the kidlets in their red, white and blue. Do you recognize some of the shirts from here?
After dinner we made a little time for the cousins to jump in the pool.
Instead of going anywhere for fireworks we went for the cheesy firework stand fireworks…and it was perfect. Here we are waiting for the show to start
It was windy that night so there was a little dust in the air.
The sparklers were a hit…with everyone but Ham.
We also learned that this:
Leads to this:
The cousins didn’t mind a short pool time on the 4th, because the Saturday before they spent the day with us.
Einstein discovered that it’s not a good idea to challenge someone to a race that has been taking swimming lessons for a few years.
LaLa and Miss T practiced their Monkey Crawl around the deck.
There was even a spastic dolphin in the pool.
Roo had fun taking care of Miss N.
The Boyz sporting the goggle look.
The Boyz could take some lessons from Miss N…she makes the goggle-look cute.
And Roo has her own way of wearing them.
LaLa was going for a much more stylish look.
After spending the day with us Miss N decided to take it upon herself to keep J in line.
I think she did a good job.
We might need more cousin days more often so she can really take care of him.
That is a pretty sweet pool. Looks way cooler than our 4th.
ReplyDeletelooks like you all had a great 4th...
ReplyDeleteGreat post and pictures. Thanks again for watching my kiddos. We can probably arrange Miss N to put J in line again over the next couple of weeks.
ReplyDeleteI love cousin time. My sister and her kids are coming this week. I have a feeling we'll be spending a lot of time in the pool this week too.
ReplyDeleteI was so excited that we got to light fireworks this year! That's one thing I missed after moving here.
How fun! We need to find a way to combine your pool and our fireworks!
ReplyDeleteWhat a patriotic bunch! Looks like a fun day :)
