To Fulfill the Law

Today was a very special day in our family.

Roo was baptized as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. It is a day 8 year olds prepare for in our Church.

We believe in baptism by immersion. Here’s Big Daddy and Roo ready for the baptismal font.

This is a picture of the lovely ladies in our family that had a part of Rachel’s baptism program.

Aunt Sherri, Grandma Jo, Aunt Rhonda and Grandma B.

Roo and Einstein sang a song together, but Einstein figured he had done enough favors by singing and taking a picture might have been more than he could have handled.

I am so proud of Roo and the wonderful young lady she is becoming.

Afterwards we invited those who had come to the baptism to our house for lunch. I wish I had taken time to take pictures of everyone who had come to share this day with us. I think we had about 40 people in our house at one time. I am not sure where everyone fit.

While we were together I had to take this picture of my kiddos with my cousin’s kiddos. For about 7 years my cousin and I took turns having babies…then she stopped and I kept going.

The best part?

This cousin and I were baptized the same day.

I wish I had pictures of the 2 of us on that day.

Thank you so much for the invite. You can bet if I didn't live so far away, I would have been there for sure. So glad to hear that everything turned out so beautifully. I hear the weather is great yesterday too!
