Summer?

I am a true desert rat. The perfect temperature for me is about 90 degrees. Once I get cold I have a hard time warming up. Plus the cold seems to make my fibromyalgia worse.

So when we made plans to come to Idaho I thought we were coming for SUMMER vacation and I packed clothes for SUMMER.

Earlier today this was the temperature.

Just a little chilly for me.

Plus the wind was blowing enough to have white caps on the Snake River.

Not that that is totally unusual.

The weather didn’t seem to bother this guy.

But by tonight the temperature is up to 56 degrees.

The winds have died down.

And the clouds are breaking up.

So hopefully tomorrow we can get back to summer vacation.

  4. It has been unseasonably cool this 'summer'. Lots more rain than usual too.

The view of the river is stunning! I'll be headed through Idaho in a couple weeks on the way to my cousin's baby shower in Bend, Oregon. We usually stop when traveling through to let the kids play in the Snake River but not this time- I'll be kid free!

I hope summer returns quickly and you can all get back to lazy SUNNY days.

  5. I'm an Arizona girl for sure. I can take the heat, but can't stand the cold. Give me sunshine and desert over snow and chill any day.

Here's hoping you stay warm during your "summer" vacation! :)
