I know people have all kinds of plans for the summer. Crazy plans like spending time in San Diego or at Disneyland. Well we really aren’t like most people, I mean who would want to hang at the beach when they can go play in the snow?
That’s right…the Snow. Gotta love Idaho in June.
Why yes that is a huge snow drift that is covering half of the road on Mount Harrison.
And since it is summertime and playing in the snow wasn’t really in the plans I didn’t pack quite the right clothes.
I packed 4 pairs of shoes for this trip…all of them flip flops. Hello? I’m from Arizona.
Shorts and flip flops. Perfect for the snow. At least I did pack jackets.
The kiddos had a blast.
Once the kidlets got used to the cold they had fun too.
Once Ham figured out that snow can be shaped into a ball and thrown he was a happy camper.
Big J decided to make a snow angel lizard.
LaLa decided that she could match that and made a snow angel frog.
At least the snow IS melting. The run-off has Bennett Springs running pretty strong.
On our way down the mountain we saw these guys.
And these guys.
Hey Uncle Kirk, Thanks for a great idea on how to spend a Monday evening.
Well at least you're not hot.
